Arguably crafting the countries boldest hiphop release to date, Phrase’s Clockwork has smashed genres and brought “rap” as an artform closer to the fraternity of Australia’s rock-driven industry. Phrase never ceases to amaze when it comes to a collaboration. Opting to avoid the cliché concept of “I’m going to do a track with every rapper I know”, Phrase has consistently broken the mold through his collabrations with artists such as Kram (Spiderbait), Wendy Matthews, Ian Kenny (Karnivool/Birds of Tokyo) & Jackson Jackson. Phrase is more than just a lyricist. He is a musician.
