Since November 2005 Dust Tones has been bringing you everything from beats, breaks, dancehall, global, funk, dub, hip hop, and reggae on a regular basis. It started in the intimate surroundings of The Clare Hotel and has moved onto events at The Metro, The Manning Bar, The Factory, Becks Bar Sydney Festival, and now the Beach Road Hotel. Taking check of cities around the world and the philosophy of cheap nights with top dollar music we aim to bring you nothing but quality music and good times. Dust Tones is powered by a small crew of dedicated people who are passionate about our music, our culture and our city. Come and help us celebrate 5 years of block-rocking parties on November 12th at the Beach Road Hotel, Bondi.
Hermitude (Elefant Traks):
Players of multi-instruments, Hermitude combine drum programming, sampling and mixing with turntablism, keys, bass and percussion… with a little help from a few vocalists. Now residing in Sydney, Luke Dubs and Elgusto grew up in the Blue Mountains where they took up musical instruments at a young age. They’ve played together with Elgusto’s sister Aja in a funk/jazz group called Funk Injection since their early teens. Elgusto has DJd and played percussion with Paulmac and The Dissociatives... He’s also played with The Bird, Wes Carr, Explanetary, The Herd, and Upshot. Luke Dubs is a full-time musician working the keyboard craft in many acts including Explanetary, Vassy, Funk Injection and Gauche. If you're not a fan you haven't heard em.
